What are the probability that a human being who loses partly of his skull surrounded by an happenstance survives?

When my husband was 7, his skull be crushed and mashed beneath the wheel of a coup¨|. It was unrecoverable. Luckily his dura mater be intact. It was rebuild by a skilled surgeon with ribs and other body parts. What are the probability that he would have survived?
it would depend on what specific dmages he have to the brain.. i have hear of ppl losing their skull and living thru it... remember that guy from abc news who get caught in an explosion within iraq?? it usually takes focal reconstructive surgery, but sometimes they pull thru... but if his pave the way was crushed by a sports car wheel, and especially that copious years ago, i would say the likelihood of his survival were pretty slim. lucky guy.
It looks similar to HIS odds be 100%.
There is no way to put probability on survival of injuries, unless large studies of similar injuries are undertake.
Regardless, it looks like he made a miraculous recouping, and must have have excellent medical care. He's markedly fortunate, indeed.
